Artist's Description
I love Birch trees so when I moved up here to New England, I was thrilled to have many of them on my property. The fall ambiance is so dramatic right now with the turning of the trees, I just had to try and capture the feeling. This is a mounted tile on board, also painted with the same alcohol ink colors. Alcohol ink allows for many different and colorful textures, shapes and shadows. The brilliance of the colors on the original painting were so lovely that I reproduced them on a surface treated wood panel and presented them both as a finished piece.

Alene Sirott-Cope is a professional graphic designer, potter, mixed media artist, photographer, art director, and art educator in several universities in the New England area. She uses her expertise with graphic design concepts, including color, shape, and texture, in all of her pieces.
